Description

Head and torso account for most of the heat a diver loses, so a 1 mm hooded vest under a 5 mm suit is worth a good deal more than a millimetre suggests. It also shuts off the cold flush down the neck every time a diver looks up on an ascent. This is the men's version, sleeveless with the hood built in, so torso and head are covered by one garment pulled on under a wetsuit. Smooth-skin 1 mm X-Foam carries the body panels, high-stretch nylon takes the rest, and a micro-plush fleece backs that nylon so it holds little water and dries quickly on a boat deck. The foam is petroleum-free and stays inside the P.A.H. limits on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The sleeveless cut leaves the shoulders free and packs down to nothing. Seven sizes run S to 4XL. The hood has no face seal. It suits a man layering under a wetsuit.
