Diver Alert Marker Buoy

Description

A marker buoy that loses its air on the surface stops doing its job, and the Diver Alert Marker Buoy has a self-sealing system so the air stays in once it is inflated. At 180 cm long and 15 cm wide in bright orange, it is easy to see from a distance. It can be filled by mouth or with the low pressure hose of a BCD through its inflation connector, and a discharge valve releases excess air if it is over-inflated during an ascent. A 5 cm reflective band adds visibility, and a dedicated pocket takes a light for a dusk or night dive. A stainless steel D-ring attaches a reel or spool. It is made from highly durable PVC. It works for a drift dive where the skipper follows the buoy, a safety stop in a busy launch area and a surface wait after a shore dive. It suits a recreational diver who wants a tall, highly visible SMB.
