Description

Back inflation keeps the air behind the diver, which is what lets a rig trim flat instead of lifting the chest, and the Magellan HD pairs that with the pockets a jacket diver is used to. The 180 N (18.5 kg) bladder sits on a Monoplate backpack with extra cushioning, and two removable Standard System weight pockets plus removable trim pockets let the lead be split for balance. A roll-down zipped pocket, elastic octopus retainers, knife grommets and a sleeve for the optional Mares titanium line cutter keep kit within reach, and five stainless D-rings take a torch, a reel and a camera. Mares makes a separate She Dives version with a women's cut. That covers a drift dive with an SMB clipped off, a photographer carrying a housing, and a diver trading a rental jacket for their own. It suits a diver who wants wing-style trim with jacket-style storage.
