D920 Handheld Technical Dive Light

The OrcaTorch D920 is a handheld, cordless primary dive light built for technical and serious recreational divers, delivering up to 5000 lumens through a tightly focused 9° beam. This narrow beam angle concentrates light into a strong hotspot rather than a wide flood, useful for penetrating low-visibility water, illuminating distant structures on wrecks, and reducing backscatter that a wider beam would pick up. Beam distance is rated at approximately 424 metres, and colour temperature sits at 6500K for a cool, high-contrast white light.

Power comes from a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, charged via a magnetic tail connector rather than a removable cell; the battery pack cannot be detached, which improves the light's water resistance but is worth noting for divers who typically carry spares or fly with removable batteries. Four brightness modes run from Turbo at the full 5000 lumens down to Low at 350 lumens, with burn times ranging from roughly 1.5 hours on Turbo to around 35 hours on Low, giving divers a way to balance output against dive duration. Control is via a magnetic tail switch, activated with minimal pressure and fitted with a locking function to prevent accidental activation in transit.

The body is machined from A6061-T6 aluminium and depth rated to 150m, built for consistent performance across technical and deep recreational profiles. Safety features include an LED battery level indicator, automatic emergency lighting activation when the battery runs low, and intelligent overheat protection. A Goodman handle is included, giving hands-free operation for technical divers who need both hands free for line work, navigation, or signalling during a dive.
