Teclight Standard Canister Light

Description

A diver who films and also leads a team needs two different beams, a tight spot for signalling and a wide flood for the camera, and often ends up carrying two lights. The Teclight puts both in one head: a 6 degree spot from a single Cree XM-L2 LED, a 120 degree ring of seven Cree XP-G2 LEDs, and a combined mode that runs both at up to 3900 lumens. On a long cave or wreck dive the communication mode runs for about seven hours from the 75 Wh battery canister, and at 10 percent charge the light warns the diver before dropping to a reduced spot for about an hour. On a reef filmed with an action camera, the 6500 K ring gives a wide flood. The head sits in an adjustable Goodman handle with a ring for the thumb when driving a scooter, and the set weighs about 1 kg with a battery that airlines commonly accept in hand luggage. It suits a technical diver who wants one primary light for team signalling, scooter work and filming.
