Mini LED Dive Light

Description

A backup light that lives in a pocket until a primary fails is useful, but one that can also be worn on the mask strap is useful on every dive. Tecline's Mini weighs under 70 g with its single AA battery and comes with a holder that clips it to a mask strap, so the beam follows the diver's head. On a night dive it frees both hands for a camera or a slate while lighting the area directly ahead. On a technical or wreck dive it is a 90 mm backup that fits a pocket and still throws 550 lumens from a Cree XM-L2 U2 LED. For travel it runs on a battery that can be bought almost anywhere, for about two and a half hours. The anodised aluminium body is rated to 200 m. It suits a diver who wants a tiny backup light that can double as a mask-mounted torch.
