Shield borrows from the gold visors NASA use, knocking back glare and ultraviolet in bright tropical water. Enhance filters ultraviolet and high-energy visible light, protecting the lutein proteins in the eye while lifting the image. Contrast pulls colours apart in murky temperate water. Frameless construction holds the air space down, and the silicone strap lifts off as standard. The white skirt admits more ambient light at the edges of vision, which some divers like and others find distracting. The black-skirted Scout is the sibling.
