Sphera X

Description

Every cubic centimetre of air inside a mask has to be replaced from the lungs on a breath-hold descent, and on a deep freedive that is air a diver cannot spare. The Sphera X answers it with curved Plexisol lenses rather than flat tempered glass, which lets the lens sit far closer to the face and cuts internal volume to a fraction of a scuba mask. The same curve gives 180 degrees of panoramic vision without distortion, so a line, a buddy and the surface stay in view without turning the head. The Plexisol is treated against fogging and scratching, and the Advanced Fit Technology skirt uses differently textured bands of silicone to seal across a range of faces. A heavy-duty EVA box with a corrosion-free zipper is supplied. That answers a depth session on a line, a spearfishing dive, and a snorkeller who dislikes clearing. It suits a freediver who counts the air spent on equalising a mask.
