Description

Let a cylinder sit away from the body and the flow gets under it, rolling it forward on every descent until the diver is nudging it back all dive. Narrow 25 mm military-grade polyester webbing pulls it in against the ribs instead, which is the whole point of a low profile rig and what keeps a shore entry through surf manageable with two stages on. Each kit carries two stainless steel bolt snaps for the harness D-rings and a stainless steel hose clamp sheathed in tubular webbing so its cut edges cannot reach a drysuit. Silicone bands with a raised lip wrap the cylinder and hold the hose where gloved fingers can still work it. Two sizes are stocked, the 40 for 5.6 L cylinders and the 80 for 11.1 L. The 25 mm webbing and standard bolt snaps suit bare or thin-gloved hands; dry gloves in cold water want the Cold Water kit instead. Cylinder, valve and regulator are not included. It suits a diver side-carrying stages who wants minimum drag.
