Description

Divers who own one wetsuit usually own a 5 mm and spend part of every winter cold in it. The Wave is 5.5 mm, which sounds like a rounding error and is not: the extra half millimetre and the warmer cut of the suit are what make the difference between finishing a second dive comfortably and cutting it short. This is the women's version, cut to a women's pattern rather than a scaled men's one, which matters because a suit that bags at the waist pumps water regardless of its thickness. Aqua Lung do not publish a specification sheet for the Wave in their current international range, so no seam construction or neoprene formulation is quoted here and none should be assumed from the Aquaflex. What is certain is the thickness and the cut. That answers a winter shore dive, a cold boat day, and a training course in unheated water. It suits a woman who has been cold in a 5 mm suit.
