Description

A wetsuit cut for a man and made smaller is the reason so many women dive cold: the torso length is wrong, so the suit bags at the waist and pumps water with every kick. The women's Aquaflex is cut to a different pattern rather than scaled, which is what makes the semi-dry zipper and the Canadian neck cuff able to do their job of slowing water exchange. The neoprene is a 4-way stretch petroleum-free formulation, so it moves with the shoulder instead of fighting it, and it is a more responsible material than standard neoprene. Powertex panels protect the knees, which is where a suit wears through first from kneeling on decks and shot lines. That answers a cold shore dive, a long boat day spent in the suit, and a training course with repeated kneeling. It suits a woman diving cold water who has been let down by a unisex suit.
