Description

Check the fill station before buying this one. Not every compressor and not every fill whip reaches 300 bar, and a 300 bar cylinder filled to 232 carries less gas than a 232 bar 12 litre would, which turns the whole advantage upside down. Where the fill is available, the advantage is real: 3000 litres of free air in a 10 litre body, more than a 12 litre at 232 bar holds, in a shorter cylinder. Faber draw it from high quality steel plate with no weld in the body and the wall thickness set for the higher working pressure, which makes it heavier-walled than a 232 bar cylinder of the same volume and gives a short, dense cylinder that trims well. Steel occupies less volume than aluminium for the same water capacity and is free of the sustained load cracking affecting some AA6351 and AA6082 aluminium cylinders. It suits a diver with a 300 bar fill and a preference for a short cylinder.
