Description

Fluorescence diving needs blue light, and carrying a separate blue torch for it is how most divers manage. This head has eight blue XPE LEDs built in alongside fifteen white XML and six red, so the same light covers video, a shy-subject approach and a fluorescence hunt without anything being swapped in the water. It is also remote control ready, with a dedicated port, which matters when the light is on an arm and the diver is behind the camera. Output is 11,000 lumens across a 120 degree beam at 6500K, running 2 hours 30 at full, then 5, 10 and 25 hours down the levels, from a four-cell 18650 pack. It weighs 467 grams, sits 273 grams negative, measures 63 mm across and 134.6 millimetres long, tested to 100 metres. A yellow plate and removable yellow filter ship in the box. It suits an underwater photographer shooting fluorescence as well as video.
