Big Blue 13 Inch Float Arm

Description

A camera rig with two video lights on it is heavily negative, and every gram of that hangs off the wrists for the length of the dive. A float arm is a sealed buoyant section that replaces a solid arm in the same position, cancelling part of that weight so the rig sits closer to neutral and can be aimed with a finger rather than shoved into position. Thirteen inches is the long option: it puts the most lift on the rig and gives the most reach, which matters for wide-angle work where the lights have to be pushed out sideways and back to keep their beams out of the water column in front of the port. It closes on standard one inch balls at both ends, so it works with existing clamps. That answers a heavy twin-light rig and a long wide-angle dive. It suits a photographer whose rig is pulling on the wrists.
