Optical Fibre for Remote Control Unit, Two Metres

Description

Long arms are what a dome port demands, and once a light sits sixteen inches out from the tray a one metre fibre run has nothing left to give. This is the two metre length, which covers that geometry with slack to spare, so the fibre follows the arm rather than pulling on the connector every time the light is re-aimed. The reason it is fibre rather than wire is that a fibre run carries the control signal as light with no electrical connection at either end, which removes the flooding and corrosion failures that an electrical remote would introduce to a rig already full of sealed connectors. It works with the remote control capable models: the VL36000PBRC, VL20000PBRC, CB16500PBRC, VL11000PBRC, CB11000PBRC, CB4000PBRC and VL15000PBRC Plus. It suits a photographer running a remote controlled light on a long arm.
