Description

A light on the end of a camera arm is out of reach once the rig is set up, which is the practical argument for remote control: the output can be changed without breaking the shot to grope for a switch. This is the VL36000P with that capability built in, along with blue and red LEDs for fluorescence and shy subjects. The white side gives 36,000 lumens for 1 hour 30, 18,000 for 3 hours, 9000 for 6 and 4500 for 15, across a 160 degree beam from forty-five XML LEDs at 6500K cool white, with ten XPE red LEDs alongside. Power is an eight-cell 21700 pack. It weighs 1391 grams with the pack fitted, sits 597 grams negative, and measures 85 mm across and 144.6 millimetres long. Tested to 100 metres. A lantern handle and hard case ship in the box. It suits a videographer running the light from behind the camera.
