Description

Everything a video light does well is undone by getting the colour wrong. A warm beam on a blue reef puts a visible boundary in the middle of the frame, and once that edge is noticed it cannot be unnoticed. An ambient filter shifts the light towards the colour of the surrounding water so the lit area reads as part of the scene rather than as a torch pointed at it, which is the difference between video that looks lit and video that looks like the day was simply bright. The light blue version is the milder shift of the two, made for clearer water where a heavier correction would go too far. This is the 55 millimetre size, fitting the VL11000P, VL11000PBRC and VL9000P Tri Color. That answers wide-angle video and a reef with open water behind it.
