Big Blue VTL7000P Max EOS Sidemount Canister Light

Description

Sidemount rigs have no room for a canister on the back plate, which is the entire reason this configuration exists. The light is the same as the backmount version: a 120 degree wide beam for video, a 10 degree narrow beam for penetration and 500 lumens of red for approaching animals, from eleven XML LEDs and six XPE red LEDs at 6500K. Burn times run 6 hours at full output, then 12, 24 and 60 hours down the levels, which is what the canister is for. The head is 548 grams at 63 mm across and 150.3 millimetres long, sitting 203 grams negative, in anodised aluminium alloy tested to 100 metres. Worth stating plainly: Big Blue's own specification table gives a 9000 lumen figure on this 7000 lumen model, so the white output is not quoted here. It suits a sidemount diver who films and penetrates on the same dive.
