Description

The giveaway in badly lit underwater video is the colour edge: a warm, artificially lit foreground sitting inside a cold blue background, with a visible line where the beam stops. An ambient filter fixes that by shifting the light towards the colour of the water it is being used in, so the lit area blends into the ambient scene instead of announcing itself. The light blue version is the subtler of the two Big Blue offer, made for water that is already fairly clear and blue rather than deep and dark.
