Description

Hose routing on a loaded rig is decided by where the ports sit, and a fixed port block forces compromises that a diver then lives with on every dive. The AC25 puts four of its low-pressure ports on a turret that swivels through a full 360 degrees, so the octopus, the BCD hose and the drysuit feed each leave at the angle they should rather than the angle they must. A fifth low-pressure port is co-axial and high-flow, sitting at the top of the turret, and two high-pressure ports handle a gauge and a transmitter. It is the third generation of Cressi's IP-adjustable balanced piston first stage, so intermediate pressure can be corrected externally without stripping it. A balanced piston keeps delivery consistent as the cylinder empties. It suits a diver running a fully loaded rig who wants hoses where they belong.
