Description
Arriving at a dive centre with a DIN regulator and finding a rack of yoke cylinders is a problem with exactly one cheap solution, and divers who travel learn to carry it permanently. This adapter screws into a DIN first stage and converts it to a yoke fitting, so the same regulator works on either valve standard. That matters because valve standards are regional as much as technical: much of Europe runs DIN and much of the rest of the world runs yoke, and no amount of planning changes what is on the rack when the boat leaves. The trade-off is worth stating plainly. A yoke connection is rated to 232 bar rather than the 300 bar a DIN fitting allows, so the adapter sets the ceiling for the whole assembly regardless of what the first stage is rated to. It suits a travelling diver with a DIN regulator who cannot control which cylinders are available.
