The whole distance between newly certified and genuinely capable, in one booking.

There's a gap after Open Water that most divers cross slowly and unevenly. You're certified, but you're not yet the person anyone would want beside them if something went wrong, and you probably know it.

This bundle closes that gap deliberately. Advanced Open Water takes you to 30 metres with five dives of proper instruction. Emergency First Response gives you the CPR and first aid underneath everything. Rescue Diver then teaches you to prevent and manage problems in the water, for yourself and everyone else.

The sequence matters and it's built in: Advanced is the prerequisite for Rescue, and First Aid is a requirement for it. Buying them separately means three transactions and, usually, a gap of months. All scuba equipment is included throughout.

What This Course Entails

Advanced Open Water comes first: five Adventure Dives including the required Deep and Underwater Navigation dives, three of your choosing, and the Thinking Like a Diver knowledge development section. Each Adventure Dive credits toward the corresponding full specialty course.

Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care follows, covering CPR, AED use, serious bleeding, shock, spinal injury and secondary care. There are no dives in this part, and it satisfies the Rescue Diver first aid requirement.

Rescue Diver then covers accident prevention and management, self-rescue, diver stress, tired and panicked divers, missing diver procedures, surfacing an unresponsive diver, and full rescue scenarios. All scuba equipment is included throughout; site entry fees are quoted separately.

Prerequisites

Certified PADI Open Water Diver, or a qualifying certification from another training organisation. Advanced Open Water is included in this bundle.
The Emergency First Response requirement for Rescue Diver is covered by this bundle, so no prior first aid training is needed.
Minimum age is 12. Divers aged 12 to 14 earn Junior certifications.
Complete a basic health screening questionnaire to confirm you're fit to dive.

What do I need before starting this bundle?

Do I need First Aid before I can do Rescue Diver?

Yes, which is precisely why these two are bundled. Rescue Diver requires Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care training within the previous 24 months. Buying them together removes a decision you were going to have to make anyway, and costs less than doing it in two transactions.

Do I have to do the courses back to back?

Not at all. Book the bundle once and then schedule each course as it suits you, whether that's over a fortnight or across a year. The saving is on the package, not on cramming it in, and your bundle price is held regardless of how long you take.

Is equipment included?

Yes. All scuba equipment is included for the duration of every course in the bundle, exactly as it would be if you booked them separately. Site entry fees for qualification dives, and any boat or charter fees, are quoted separately.

What if I don't end up completing the whole bundle?

Talk to us and we'll sort it out sensibly. The discount applies to the package as a whole, so if you stop partway we'd settle up at the standard price for the courses you actually completed. Nobody gets penalised for a change of plan.

Are air fills included in the course price?

No, and that is deliberate. Air is charged as you use it, per fill, and invoiced to you after your session. Every diver breathes differently, and a nervous first-timer will get through considerably more air than someone on their fourth qualification dive. Building a worst-case air allowance into every course fee would mean the lightest breathers subsidising the heaviest, so instead you pay for the air you actually use and the course price stays lower for everyone. We confirm the current fill rate with you when we book your dates, and you are welcome to ask us for it at any point before that. Dive site entrance fees are also paid separately, at the site on the day. Everything else, including your PADI eLearning, your instruction and the use of all scuba equipment, is covered by your course fee.
