Big Blue AL1300 Strobe Light Head

Description

A steady torch is invisible against a shore full of lights and easy to lose among a group of divers on the surface at night. A flashing one is not, which is why a marker strobe belongs on a BCD or an SMB rather than in the pocket where a spare light usually ends up. This is the head assembly for the AL1300 Strobe, supplied on its own in a plain box with no battery, charger or accessories, bought to repair a damaged unit or to keep a spare in the kit box. The output is 6500K cool white, the colour that carries furthest across open water and reads as artificial rather than as a reflection. The housing is anodised aluminium alloy and the assembly is tested to one hundred metres. That answers a night ascent, a drift pickup and a marker left on a shot line. It suits a diver keeping an AL1300 Strobe running.
