Description

Wide beams do the ordinary work. A narrow cone is right for reaching along a wall or into a wreck, but for swimming a reef, lighting a buddy or filming anything larger than a hand, the useful measure is how much of the scene is lit evenly rather than how far the hot spot travels. This is the AL1300WP head assembly on its own, the LED, optics, electronics and switch in a plain box with no battery, charger, lanyard or dry bag, which is why it costs a fraction of the complete light. It is bought to repair a flooded or damaged head, or to sit in the kit box against the dive where the first one fails. Narrow and extra wide heads cover the beam angles on either side. That answers a reef swim, general video and a light used hard in rental service. It suits a diver keeping an AL1300WP running.
