Description

The pattern does nothing underwater, where no light reaches far enough into the red end for anyone to see it. It earns its place on the boat, in the kit bag and on the shore, where six identical black backups belonging to six different divers is a problem that a camo finish quietly solves. The light itself is the standard AL450WM Tail: four hundred and fifty lumens across forty degrees, broad enough that if the primary fails the dive carries on looking roughly as it did rather than shrinking to a bright circle. The switch sits at the tail, reachable through a five millimetre glove without breaking grip, and a Cree LED runs up to four hours. The plain finish and a narrow beam version are also listed. It suits a diver who wants to tell their backup light apart.
