Description

An enclosed muzzle hides the shaft at exactly the moment a spearfisher is judging the shot. The Apache uses an open head instead, which is the point of the design: visibility along the shaft is unobstructed, so aim is taken on the spear rather than around the gun. It is a simplified version of the Navajo, robust and minimalist, built as a competition-range gun but equally usable by non-professional spearfishers, with provision for basic accessories to be fitted. The barrel is anodised aluminium at 26 mm diameter, which gives high resistance to flexion once the rubbers are tensioned, and that stiffness is where the accuracy comes from, since a barrel that bends under load throws the shot. Weight distribution gives it stability and good compensation in the water. Two lengths are offered, 75 cm and 90 cm. It suits a spearfisher who wants an open muzzle and a stiff barrel.
