Description

The choice between the RK3 and the RK3 HD is about buoyancy rather than looks, and this set takes the standard RK3, which is the lighter of the two. That suits a wetsuit diver whose feet already sit low, where the negatively buoyant HD would drag them further. Paired with it is the VX2, a stainless framed mask with a carbon fibre inner frame and 13 percent more field of vision than the VX1. On a warm water reef dive the lighter fin is less work over a long swim. On a boat dive in a 5 mm suit the trim stays flat without ankle weights. On a training course the short vented blade makes frog kick easy to teach. It suits a wetsuit diver who wants Apeks build quality without the extra fin weight, and the RK3 HD set is the drysuit alternative.
