Z Valve Insert

Description

Replacing a whole cylinder valve because the internal parts have reached the end of their life is a waste of a perfectly good body, and on a fleet of twenty cylinders it is a significant one. The Z valve insert is the serviceable core rather than the complete assembly, so the valve body stays on the cylinder and only the working parts are renewed. On a dive centre's annual service cycle that is the difference between a modest parts bill and replacing hardware. It fits Aqua Lung Z valves specifically, and the valve on the cylinder should be identified before ordering rather than assumed, because inserts are not universal across manufacturers or patterns. Fitting is work for a qualified cylinder technician and is normally done while the cylinder is out of service for test. It suits a technician or a centre servicing Aqua Lung Z valves rather than replacing them.
