Sea Gold Anti-Fog Gel 37ml

Description

Whether a defog actually gets used on a boat comes down to one ingredient. Alcohol-based products sting badly when a mask floods or is cleared clumsily, and a diver who has had that once will leave the bottle in the bag. There is no alcohol in this one, and it is non-toxic and biodegradable besides. It is a concentrated gel rather than a spray, which is why a 37 ml tube runs to around 600 applications, several seasons for most divers. The formula is clear and leaves no coloured residue, safe on glass and plastic lenses and on the silicone or rubber frames around them, and it is non-abrasive, so it will not haze a lens over the years the way a household scouring product does. Apply to a dry lens, spread, rinse briefly. A new mask still needs its manufacturing film scrubbed off first, or nothing will hold. It suits a diver who wants one tube to last seasons.
