Description

Open water is where a swimmer finds out whether a mask was built for chop, cold and a strap pulled on in a hurry. The Aquasphere Vista is a durable silicone mask made for that, with a low profile that cuts the drag of a typical swim mask and Curved Lens Geometry giving 180 degrees of peripheral vision. The soft silicone skirt seals around the eyes rather than in the sockets, and the quick fit buckle adjusts with one touch. For a winter sea swim under grey skies, the clear lens passes 88% of the light. On a dam training swim in broken cloud, the smoke lens at 27% keeps natural colour, and on a bright summer event the indigo mirrored lens, 16% on a smoke base, cuts glare and sharpens contrast. It is a swimming mask for the surface, not a snorkelling or dive mask. It suits an open water swimmer or triathlete who wants a wide, stable seal in changeable conditions.
