Apeks Auto Dump Valve

Description

Gas expands on the way up whether the diver attends to it or not, and a drysuit that cannot vent it becomes an uncontrolled ascent. An automatic shoulder dump takes the decision away: set the valve, raise the shoulder and the suit vents itself at the chosen pressure. On a decompression stop that means holding depth without a hand permanently on a valve. On a photography dive it frees both hands entirely. On a drysuit that has been sitting through a winter it is the part most worth replacing before a season, because a valve that has stuck open floods and one stuck shut will not vent. The adjustment lets a diver run it tight for a slow controlled ascent or open for fast dumping. It replaces a worn valve on an existing suit. It suits any drysuit diver servicing or upgrading a suit.
