Back Plate Aluminium WTX

Description

Roughly 780 grams against 2.15 kilos is the whole argument between aluminium and stainless, and on a flight it is decisive. This is the 6061 anodised aluminium version of the WTX plate, with the same slot pattern as the stainless. On a travel trip it gets a backplate rig into a baggage allowance alongside regulators and a suit. On a warm water dive in a thin suit the lost ballast is not missed, because there was little to offset in the first place. On a rig being set up four upper and four lower slots hold a single cylinder laterally, where a two slot plate lets it rock, and three holes at the top adjust the height of the wing and cylinder. Perimeter holes along the sides and bottom take accessories. It suits a travelling or warm water diver, and the stainless plate is the choice where ballast is wanted.
