Description
A NERD 2 is an awkward shape to pack, with a mount arm on one side and near eye optics on the other, and the optics are the part that must not be knocked. This case is cut for it at 240 by 240 by 60 millimetres. On a rebreather expedition the whole display, mount kit and charging clip travel as one padded package rather than loose in a kit box. On a flight it goes in hand luggage where the unit is worth more than the baggage allowance. Between dives on a boat it keeps grit off the lens while the loop is being rebuilt. The shell is ballistic nylon over foam with a zip closure, and it weighs 313 grams empty. It suits any NERD 2 owner who travels with the unit, and it is the right home for the NERD 2 Charging Clip as well.
