Description

Sea water gets into the bladder through the inflator on most dives and then stays there. Drying, it leaves salt crystals against the inner coating that grind away at it, which is the reason bladders eventually weep; water trapped in the corrugated hose is where the smell in a club kit room starts. Rinsing the outside reaches none of it. This is a cleaner and conditioner for the inside of a buoyancy compensator, in a 237 ml bottle, treating a Hydros bladder and any other the same way. The routine is short: pour through the inflator, add fresh water, roll the BCD so the liquid works around the bladder, then drain and hang the unit upside down. Done a few times a season it costs minutes and postpones a repair that costs a wing. Shell, harness and Monprene parts still get fresh water alone, and it will not repair a bladder already weeping or a failed inflator valve. It suits any diver looking after a BCD bladder.
