Description

Clear silicone yellows. Every diver who has owned a transparent-skirted mask for three seasons has watched it go from crystal to amber, and it is the reason many buy black instead. Cressi's crystal silicone is formulated against that, staying clear rather than discolouring, and its chemical composition also reduces the fogging transparent skirts are prone to. The skirt is built by dual injection, which lets stiffness vary point by point: firm where the structure has to resist crushing, soft where it sits against the face. The lenses are angled and set as close to the eyes as the frame allows, adding around 25 per cent to the field of view over the original design. The buckles pivot on a flexible element and fold sideways through 180 degrees rather than mounting on the skirt itself. It suits a diver who wants a clear skirt that stays clear.
