Description

The most likely thing a dive knife will ever cut is a line wrapped around a diver, and the most likely thing it will ever damage is that diver's own suit or buoyancy cell. A blunt tip removes the second risk without affecting the first, which is why it is the tip most instructors recommend and most technical divers carry. This is the Big Squeeze in blunt tip: a 10.8 cm blade, 24.2 cm overall, in 304 stainless steel. The sheath is the reason for the name. The knife releases by squeezing the moulded grip, a deliberate action that is nearly impossible to perform accidentally, so it does not fall out on a giant stride or under a jacket. The sheath mounts to a BCD through grommets, to a belt through its locking clip, or to leg straps sold separately, and drain holes make re-sheathing easy under water. It suits a diver carrying a knife for entanglement rather than for cutting bait.
