Description

Forty five metres is the length that matters, because it covers a deployment from a safety stop at six metres with enough line left to handle a current pulling the buoy sideways, and it is short enough to stay a spool rather than becoming a reel. The body is machined from Delrin rather than moulded, which is why the line does not jam on a burred edge at the one moment a diver cannot afford it, and why the spool tolerates being clipped to a harness for a season without going brittle. Number 24 line runs freely without tangling when it is paid out fast. A double ended bolt snap comes with it, so it clips to a D-ring straight out of the packet. It suits a diver deploying an SMB from a safety stop.
