Faber Black Cylinder Net for 12L Short

Description

Cylinders are not usually ruined by chemistry. They are ruined by contact: rack against rack, cylinder against cylinder, the sides of a bakkie, a boat ladder on the way out. That mechanical wear is what strips a finish, and a mesh net takes it instead of the paint. This one is cut for a 12 litre short body, stretching over it and staying in place. The weave is open by design, so water passes straight through and the cylinder dries between dives, where a solid cover would hold salt water against the steel. Paint that survives is paint that keeps surface rust off, which is the whole point of protecting a finish that might otherwise look cosmetic. It fits over the body rather than the boot, so the two work together. Rinse it with the cylinder and pull it off once a season to check underneath, since a net hides the surface it protects. A universal net covering 6 to 18 litre cylinders is also stocked. It suits an owner of a 12 litre short cylinder.
