Description

Two hundred and eighteen grams is the number that explains the Black Molly VII. A light this small should not produce 2900 lumens across a one hundred and twenty degree beam, and the fact that it does means a video rig can carry two of them without the arms sagging or the wrists complaining an hour in. Four XML emitters give cool white at 6500K and two XPE red emitters give a red mode for approaching animals that scatter under white light. Four power levels run from two hours at full output to twenty hours at the lowest, so the same torch covers a photo dive and a week of backup duty. The housing is anodised aluminium alloy, 35.5 millimetres in diameter and 126.8 millimetres long, tested to one hundred metres. It is sold on its own, with a protective case, or with a case and a single-arm tray. It suits a photographer wanting real output at minimal weight.
