SCUBAPRO Bolt Snaps

Description

Unlike a carabiner gate, a bolt snap will not capture a guideline, and the barrel springs shut the instant a thumb leaves it. That is why technical divers rig on these rather than clips, and why the whole job can be done blind. Eight patterns are stocked in stainless steel, logos laser etched into the metal. Single-ended snaps come in XS 10 mm, S 14 mm and L 25 mm. Double-ended snaps join two items with no D-ring involved, in M 105 mm and L 125 mm. A flat eye 25 mm sits closer to webbing than a round eye does, a Big-Eye 36 mm takes a dry glove, and a 13 mm trigger snap completes the set. Size follows the job: 10 mm and 14 mm for an SMB or a torch, 25 mm and the Big-Eye for stages and dry gloves. Each pattern is sold on its own, so a fully rigged harness needs six or eight of them. No load rating applies. It suits a technical diver rigging stages, lights and reels.
