BPI COUPLING FOR LP HOSE
The SCUBAPRO BPI Coupling for LP Hose is the quick-disconnect fitting between the low pressure hose and a balanced power inflator on a BCD. It is the part that is pulled on and off before and after every dive, which is why it wears out before the hose does.
The usual failure is a locking collar that no longer holds, or a fine leak at the joint that persists after the o-rings are changed. Either is a reason to replace the coupling. Fitting a new one takes a spanner and a service kit rather than a full regulator strip.
