BRAIDED LP HOSE

The Aqua Lung braided low pressure hose connects a first stage to the inflator of a buoyancy compensator, and it is the braided type rather than the older rubber one. A braided hose is lighter, more flexible and considerably less bulky in a bag, and it does not take a permanent set from being coiled the same way for a season.

The fitting is the standard 3/8 inch low pressure thread used across the industry, so the hose fits any conventional first stage port and any standard power inflator. Four lengths are offered here, at 22 inches or 55 cm, 25 inches or 63 cm, 27 inches or 68 cm and 36 inches or 91 cm. Length is chosen from the harness, not from preference: a back-inflation wing usually needs a longer hose than a jacket, and a long hose on a jacket simply loops and catches.

The result is an inflator hose that routes cleanly, packs small and can be replaced without a service visit.

Supplied in black. Measure the hose being replaced from the first stage fitting to the inflator before ordering, because a hose that is too short will load the port and one that is too long will trail.
