Braided LP Hose

Description

A standard rubber low pressure hose holds the curve it was coiled in, stands proud of the body and pulls the inflator away from the hand reaching for it. A braided hose does none of that: it is far more flexible, lies where it is put, and packs flat rather than fighting a folded bag. On a travel set that flexibility is worth real space, and on any set it makes the inflator sit closer to the chest where it belongs. Braided hoses are also lighter than rubber, which is a small saving that adds up across a rig with four or five of them. This one runs from a first stage low pressure port to a BCD inflator. Hoses are consumables and a weeping one is a reason to replace rather than to service. That answers a travel rig, a new BCD, and a hose that has never sat properly. It suits a diver replacing a stiff rubber inflator hose.
