Description

Dive centres buy equipment on a different calculation from divers: what matters is how quickly a set can be handed to a stranger, how cheaply it is serviced, and how long it survives being rinsed badly by people who did not pay for it. This set is assembled on that basis. The Calypso is the long-running Aqua Lung regulator most often found on club and training sets, supplied here with a matching octopus and a two-gauge console for pressure and depth, on the Wave jacket BCD. Both are simple rather than clever, which is the point. Aqua Lung no longer publish specification sheets for either the Calypso or the Wave in their current international range, so no work of breathing figure, lift capacity or valve detail is quoted here and none should be assumed from the Titan or Pro HD. It suits a training centre or club equipping a rental fleet.
