MCG 111 Oxygen Grease 14 g

Description

Ordinary silicone or hydrocarbon grease has no place on a part that will see high-pressure oxygen, so a technician keeping oxygen and nitrox kit in service needs a lubricant made for it. Christo-Lube MCG 111 is a fully fluorinated grease thickened with PTFE, which its maker qualifies to MIL-PRF-27617G Types I, II and III, rates as compatible with gaseous oxygen up to a working pressure of 346 bar, and quotes for a service range of minus 60 to 260 degrees. This is the 14.18 g pack, a smaller size than the syringe and tube already in the range. That makes it the right quantity for a save-a-dive kit on an oxygen stage, for occasional work on a single nitrox regulator, and for a travelling technician who does not want a larger tube going stale. The grease alone does not make anything oxygen clean, and oxygen service belongs with a qualified technician. It suits a diver or technician who needs a small quantity of oxygen-compatible grease.
