Christolube MCG111 Grease Tube

Description

Working through a run of sets from one container beats opening a syringe for every o-ring, which is what makes the tube the workshop format. What comes with it is exposure: a tube left open on a bench collects whatever else is on that bench, so it stays capped, stays labelled, and stays off the shelf where the silicone lives. Christolube MCG-111, carried, is a perfluoropolyether grease for oxygen service, used where equipment will see oxygen concentrations above 40 percent, and the reason a separate product exists at all is that hydrocarbon and silicone greases become a fire risk at those concentrations. It goes on nitrox and oxygen-service regulator parts, on cylinder valves and on analyser fittings. Occasional work and save-a-dive kits are better served by the 28 g syringe. Nothing here belongs on a wetsuit zip or an ordinary o-ring, which are silicone grease jobs. It suits a workshop servicing nitrox and oxygen equipment.
