Description

Most divers own one wetsuit and dive in water that changes temperature through the year, which leaves a few months at each end where the suit is not quite enough. A base layer closes that gap far more cheaply than a second suit. The Core Vest is sleeveless neoprene worn under the suit, adding insulation around the core where heat is actually lost, and leaving the arms and shoulders free so nothing is given up in movement or in getting the suit on over it. In warm conditions it works alone as a light top, which makes it a year-round item rather than a winter one. It is ultra-stretchy 2.5 mm neoprene with a second-skin fit, so it lies flat under a suit instead of rucking. Six sizes run from S to 3XL, in black. That answers a spring dive, an autumn snorkel and a summer surface session. It suits a man extending the range of the suit he already owns.
