DA-002 Sea and Sea Long Adapter

Description

Sea and Sea use their own mounting standard, which is why a diver with their housing and a Big Blue light needs an adapter between the two rather than a straight fitting. This is the long version of that adapter, and the extra length is the point: it moves the light further from the housing, which reduces backscatter by keeping the beam out of the water directly in front of the lens, where suspended particles reflect straight back into the shot. It is machined from T6061 aluminium, the grade used across Big Blue's accessory series and chosen to survive salt water. The shorter DA-009 and medium DA-008 cover the same fitting at different lengths, so the choice is about how far the light needs to sit from the port. It suits a Sea and Sea owner mounting a Big Blue light at distance.
