DA-007 Sea and Sea Hot Shoe Adapter

Description

This adapter solves two problems at once, which is why it costs more than the simpler ones in the series: it takes the hot shoe on top of a camera housing and presents Sea and Sea mounting from it, so a Sea and Sea light or arm attaches directly to a housing that has nothing but a shoe. Without it, that combination needs a tray and an arm before anything can be mounted at all. Using the hot shoe also keeps the whole assembly compact, with nothing projecting beyond the housing, which suits a rig that has to pack small. It is machined from T6061 aluminium, the grade Big Blue use across the accessory series for its resistance to salt water. That answers a compact housing, a travel rig and a mixed-brand setup. It suits a photographer joining Sea and Sea equipment to a camera hot shoe.
