DA-008 Sea and Sea Medium Adapter

Description

Backscatter is a function of where the light sits relative to the lens, not how bright it is, and the distance that works varies with the water and the subject. Big Blue therefore build the Sea and Sea adapter in three lengths rather than one. This is the medium, sitting between the standard DA-009 and the long DA-002, and it is the sensible starting point for a diver who has not yet worked out how far their light needs to be from the port. Moving the light further out reduces the particles lit directly in front of the lens; keeping it closer keeps the rig compact and easier to handle. It is machined from T6061 aluminium, chosen to survive salt water. That answers a general-purpose rig and a photographer still tuning their setup. It suits a Sea and Sea owner mounting a Big Blue light.
