DA-009 Sea and Sea Standard Adapter

Description

This is the shortest of Big Blue's three Sea and Sea adapters, and the one to choose when a compact rig matters more than distance from the port. Keeping the light close to the housing makes the whole assembly easier to handle in current and easier to pack, at the cost of some of the backscatter reduction a longer adapter buys by moving the beam away from the water directly in front of the lens. Which matters more depends on the water being dived and the subject being shot, which is why the series runs to three lengths: this standard, the DA-008 medium and the DA-002 long. It is machined from T6061 aluminium, the grade used across the accessory series for salt water resistance. That answers a compact rig, a travel setup and clear water. It suits a Sea and Sea owner who wants the light kept close.
